Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
Trotter Active Adult Center Front Entry Improvements and Modifications Project located at 3906 Betula Street in Greensboro, NC as indicated by the attached plan(s) and specifications Any questions concerning the scope of work should be directed to: Jerome Williams @ Jerome.williams@qreensboro-nc.gov or 336-373-7554. Bids will be received by single prime format, by general contractors for all work. All proposals shall be based on a stipulated sum basis. Segregated bids will not be accepted. All proposals shall include the cost of all state and local sales and use taxes. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to but not less than five Percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten working days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. Each proposal must be accompanied by the documentation required by the City of Greensboro's Minority and Women's Business Enterprise program included in the project manual. Failure to include such documentation is grounds for rejection of the bid proposal. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, except under the provisions of General Statute 143-129.1, for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities that are deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Greensboro. PERFORMANCE BOND - N/A 1. The successful bidder, upon award of contract, shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of each contract price. PAYMENT BOND - (N/A) 1. The successful bidder, upon award of contract, shall furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price. Bidder agrees that the Work as set forth in the Contract Documents, including Alternates that are accepted, will be Substantially Complete within forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of Notice to Proceed. Project Completion and final acceptance will be complete within 15 calendar days after Substantial Completion.
