The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk District (NAO) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) acquisition for the renovation of Building 210 Welcome Center at DSCR Richmond, VA. The requirement will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. Adequate and efficiently configured facilities at the Pass Office within Building 210 are required to ensure safe and secure screening and badging of individuals attempting to enter the installation. Sufficient lobby space is required to ensure fluent passage of individuals requesting badging as well as adequate workspace for the employees working within the office. A multipurpose room is required to provide a briefing area for media (approximately 10 individuals) in the event of an emergency without having the media enter the installation. The Army Standard for Access Control Points (ACP) includes requirements for Visitor Control Centers (VCC) which allows for 2,720 SF of gross area for four processor layouts.
