The University has determined that mechanical subcontractor bidders who submit bids to prequalified prime contractors on this series of projects must be prequalified. Prequalified bidders will be required to have the following California contractor's license(s): C-10 License (Electrical) University is seeking to prequalify a pool of Electrical Subcontractors who, once successfully prequalified, will be the only entities allowed to submit electrical pricing to prequalified prime contractors and, if awarded a subcontract, perform Electrical work on a series of construction projects. Each project covered by this prequalification shall: 1. Be managed by the UCLA Health-Planning, Design & Construction department; and 2. Consist of construction work involving one or more building trades; and 3. Have a per project construction value of between $300,000.00 and $640,000.00; and 4. Be performed within UCLA Health owned facilities, which include Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, Medical Plaza 200 and 300 Buildings and other facilities owned and occupied by UCLA Health, and 5. Facilities will be regulated by the State Fire Marshal's office and either the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) or the UCLA Campus Building Official within Capital Programs. The time period covered by this prequalification will begin once the list of successfully prequalified entities is posted, and will end on December 31, 2023. University will also be separately prequalifying general contractors to perform as prime contractors on said projects. The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive non-material irregularities in any response received. All information submitted for prequalification evaluation will be considered official information acquired in confidence, and the University will maintain its confidentiality to the extent permitted by law. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. These projects are subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Prequalified Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
