The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of boiler replacements at an existing building. B. The Work generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following major elements: 1. Disconnection of power for boilers/pumps prior to removal. Removal of existing raceway and writing for select pieces of equipment. 2. Removal of associated building materials and components, including selected existing fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. 3. Removal of existing gas-fired boilers and replacement with new gas-fired condensing boilers. 4. Removal and replacement of existing gas piping, hot water supply and return, expansion tank and air separator, pipe insulation, and boiler and system pumps. 5. Removal and replacement of existing boiler flues and greenhouse water heater flue with new to the exterior wall, including all necessary cutting/demolition for penetrations. 6. Offsite disposal of all removed materials. 7. Integration of controls of new boiler with existing BMS system. 8. Provision and installation of new magnetic system filter. 9. Provision and installation of new wiring and raceway from Electrical Room to pumps. 10. Provision and installation of new carbon monoxide detector and connect to fire alarm loop. 11. Provision and installation of EPO switch and contactor to shut off power to all gaspowered equipment. The deadline for RFIs is Friday, November 19, 2021.
