This project consists of the replacement of approximately 14,400 linear feet of 6, 8 and 2-inch water main located on Old Cove Rd, S. Cobia Way, W. Fin Lane, Pompano Court, W. Sandpipe Terrace, S. Pamlico Way, Albacore Drive, Blue Marlin Way, and S. Roanoke Way using dig and replace. Alternates include the replacement of approximately 13,510 linear feet of 6, 8, and 2-inch water main using pipe bursting or 14,410 linear feet using horizontal directional drill. The project also consists of asphalt surface overlay for Old Cove Rd, S. Cobia Way, W. Fin Lane, Pompano Court, W. Sandpipe Terrace, S. Pamlico Way, Albacore Drive, Blue Marlin Way, and S. Roanoke Way. The Town of Nags Head is requesting Contractors to provide bids for either one or both construction start dates for January 3, 2022 (Spring Construction) or September 15, 2022 (Fall Construction) and for either one or all the installation methods. The Town will reimburse Contractor for stored materials for the Fall Construction 2022 option. The Town of Nags Head reserves the right to choose which construction start date and installation method to Award that provides the most advantageous combination of price, quality, and performance. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount bid made payable to Town of Nags Head. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 consecutive calendar days after bid opening except as provided in Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the state(s) in which the work is to be completed.
