Renovation of an educational facility in Jamestown, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work includes, but is not limited to, new heating hot water and chilled water distribution to three existing buildings, installation of new heating water boilers, pumps, hydronic accessories, and DDC controls. Phase 1 work, performed concurrently by a separate contractor, includes a new central plant building, connecting existing chiller piping, control wiring and site work associated with new electrical distribution. Phase 2 includes alternate bids for a new chilled water pumps, piping, and a new air-cooled chiller. The Phase 2 Contractor will be required to coordinate with the Phase 1 Contractor for project scheduling, sequencing, and site work per the project drawings and specifications. The College solicits a 10% MBE/WBE participation as set forth in the notice to bidders of the contract documents. The College reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals and waiver informalities in bidding. The Contract Time for this Project is _150_ consecutive calendar days A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. establishes a ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority businesses in total value of work for each building project If the goal of 10% participation by HUB Certified/ minority business is not achieved, the Bidder shall provide the following documentation to the Owner of his good faith efforts:
