A Lump Sum Bid will be received for the following categories of work: Excavation, concrete foundations and interior slabs, general carpentry, roofing, siding, windows and doors, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and sitework for a 5564 sf Office / Kennel / Truck Shed. Contractors may obtain Plans and Specifications by applying to the Engineer's Office. A nonrefundable $25.00 deposit is required for each set of plans. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany each Bid as a guarantee. If for any reason, the awarded Bidder cannot execute the Work outlined in these Contract documents, this Bidder shall forfeit the Bid deposit or the amount of the Bid Bond to the Owner as liquidated damages. The Contractor to whom an award shall be made pursuant to this contract shall be subject to all applicable Federal and State Laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Contractor awarded this contract shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds (optional as shown on bid form) covering the faithful performance of the contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or to accept any Bid which in the judgment of the Owner may be the most advantageous to them. No Bids may be withdrawn after the opening of Bids, without the consent of the Owner, for a period of sixty (60) days thereafter.
