**As of January 10, 2022 the project was awarded to Radio Comm Co. (RCC) with awarded amount of $262438.55** The Saint Louis Zoo (Zoo) is seeking proposals to supply and install a "turnkey" radio communication system including required local, state or federal permits and licensing on the Zoo's main campus located at One Government Drive, St. Louis MO 63101. The Respondent shall provide a migration path from the Zoo's current Analog System to the proposed system. The proposed radio system shall permit the radio user to roam across the entire area of coverage without requiring manual switching or changing of site information. With the intention that the Zoo expects the proposed system to be in service for a minimum of the next 7-10 years, the Respondent shall provide a company statement of expected life of the proposed system. The system shall provide reliable bandwidth efficiency, radio functionality for Zoo operational groups and shall accommodate Zoo communication requirements between our operational groups. The System shall provide the features, functions, and capabilities as described herein. Zoo employees utilize radios in a variety of outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures, dirt, mud, rain/water, etc. User groups include animal caretakers, security, housekeeping and grounds, business operations, events, etc. Each work group requires a dedicated talk-path to communicate with each other using radios throughout the day, all day. In addition, each work group must also have the ability to communicate between work groups. The Zoo requires the ability to communicate to multiple talk-groups, simultaneously, during larger scale events, as well as emergency situations. The proposed communications system should be similar to a school or university campus setting or larger company campus. The Zoo invites Respondents to provide multiple communication solution (DMR, Project-25, etc) options that Respondent thinks is most appropriate for the Zoo's campus. As the Zoo also potentially falls into the category of public safety, by way of functioning to provide safety and security to the guests, employees and animals at the Zoo.
