The Board of Education of Calvert County, Prince Frederick, MD, is soliciting proposals from pre-qualified Contractors to furnish labor and materials to complete the HVAC Systemic Renovation at Huntingtown Elementary School, 4345 Huntingtown Road, Huntingtown, Maryland 20639. Please note that all bidders must be prequalified. The Contractors Qualification Questionnaire can be found online All Bid Document or bidding procedure questions or clarifications shall be addressed to Mr. Kevin Michael, Director of Procurement and Resource Management and sent via electronic mail to the following email address: michaelk@calvertnet.k12.md.us. The deadline for submission of questions is Friday 3 December 2021, 4:00 pm. Certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. The contractor who provides materials, supplies, equipment and/or services for this project shall attempt to achieve the specific overall MBE goal of eight percent (8%) established for the Work. All prime contractors, including certified MBE firms, when submitting bids or proposals as general or prime contractors, are required to attempt to achieve this goal from certified MBE firms. There are no subgoals established for this project. However, the Contractor is encouraged to use a diverse group of subcontractors and suppliers from any and all of the various MBE classifications to meet the overall MBE participation goal. In the event of inclement weather on the date when bids are scheduled to be opened and the CCPS administrative offices are closed, bids will be opened on the next business day at the same time as previously scheduled. Bids will be accepted until the scheduled time of opening on the next business day. Please note: Often when schools are closed due to inclement weather, administrative offices remain open.
