The enclosed Request for Proposal (RFP) and Accompanying Specifications are for your convenience in bidding the enclosed referenced Fiber Optic Design and Installation for the City of Sherman. The City of Sherman reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all formalities. Questions may be addressed to the Finance Department at the address listed below. City of Sherman - Finance Department Municipal Building 405 N. Rusk Street Sherman, TX 903-892-7215 Proposals shall assume that the vendor will provide the labor to design, furnish, install and terminate all connections. The fiber installations must include all appropriate permitting, locates, hand holds, grounding rods, markers, conduit, rack mount fiber termination boxes, and wall mount racks. Fiber should be capable of running a minimum of 10 Gigabitspeeds. All materials and equipmentsupplied to the City of Sherman must be new and unused. All buried fiber must be installed in 1.25-inch fiber conduit. Fiber cannot be direct burial. o Buried fiber is preferred, but use of aerial runs are acceptable with written justification. All hand holds must be rated for occasional traffic. All hand holds must contain 50 ft. of additional fiber for each line. All paved roads and existing utilities must be crossed via a directional bore. The contracted firm shall provide detailed as built plans to the Sherman Information Technology Department. 24 strands shall be provided, installed, and terminated to/from the facilities listed below: o Municipal Building (405 N Rusk) to Police Department (317 S Travis) o Police Department (317 S Travis) to Water Maintenance on (South Plant) o Water Maintenance (805 S East) to Solid Waste (811 Solid Waste) o Municipal Building (405 N Rusk) to New Police Department (2600 W Travis St)
