Remodeling of a religious / funeral development in Pilot Point, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 3,061-square-foot religious / funeral development.
purpose of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing of all work required in the construction of the Pilot Point Church Rehab and Ice House Restroom Conversion and all other improvements incidental thereto, located at 201 E. Liberty St., Pilot Point, Texas 46258 (Church) and 123 E. Main St., Pilot Point, Texas 76258 (Ice House). Representatives of EIKON will be present to discuss the project. EIKON will distribute to prospective bidders of record such Addenda as EIKON considers necessary in response to discussions or inquiries arising at the conference. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities in the Competitive Sealed bid process. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the bid opening without the specific consent of the Owner. Bid Guaranty in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid in the form of Cashier's Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond shall accompany the bid: made payable unconditionally to Pilot Point EDC. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of the Contract written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as required by Article 5160, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas. He will also be required to furnish an insurance certificate showing that he has all the insurance required by the Contract Documents. The prevailing rates of wages are the minimums that must be paid in conformance with all applicable laws of the State of Texas The Historic Preservation and retrofit of the existing Ice House located at 123 E Main Street into restrooms. The Ice House is registered with the Texas Historical Commission and will need to be reviewed and approved for any alterations designed. The intended use of the building will be to serve the downtown area with restrooms and incorporate a Historic element to preserve the original Ice House function. Very minor parking spaces will be included off Church Street. The parking will include the required Handicap parking and no more than two additional parking spaces. EIKON has designed the retrofit and Historic components to meet the required codes and ordinances and accessibility requirements within the confines of the existing structure. The existing structure will be analyzed for repair as necessary due to the deterioration of the wood structural systems of the load-bearing walls and roof trusses. The repairs will be detailed in the documents accordingly. The facade will be designed to represent the Historic period of the original Ice House and improve the durability and life expectancy of the facility. HVAC will be added to the facility. The project also includes the renovation and preservation of the existing Central Christian Church located at 201 E Liberty Street. The age of this facility is not known at this time, however, it is not registered as a Historic Building. We understand the facility will be renovated to improve the facade and interior components including the HVAC systems so the building can be utilized. The restrooms will need to be improved to meet current codes. The improvements have been designed to meet current codes and ordinances including accessibility requirements. EIKON has developed an Architectural site plan for the projects representing the landscaping intent and to aesthetically unify the areas although located on different lots. This plan will not provide specific plantings or installation requirements such as subgrade preparation, topsoil or irrigation, etc.
