Water Meter Replacements: Principal items of work include the purchase of the following: two thousand (2,000) 5/8"x3/4" automatic radio read water meters; fifteen (15) 1" automatic radio read water meters; twenty-five (25) 2" automatic radio read water meters; five hundred (500) standard water meter boxes; five (5) traffic rated water meter boxes; five (5) jumbo water meter boxes; two thousand (2,000) 3/4 " curb stops; two thousand (2,000) 3/4 " dual check valves; Radio-read system with computer hardware and software; and other related items. New Water Mains: Principal items of work include the installation of the following: eleven thousand five (11,500) LF of 6" PVC water main; three thousand forty (3,040) LF of 3" PVC Water Main; two thousand (2,000) LF 8" HDPE Water Main, HDD bored; eight hundred (800) LF " HDPE water main, HDD bored; and other related items. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete proposals made available by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Each bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1985, and must submit with his bid satisfactory evidence of such license.
