BASE BID SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDES A 4 CLASSROOM, 6,228 SF ONE STORY ADDITION ALONG WITH MODIFICATIONS TO THE ENTRANCE LOBBY TO CREATE A SECURITY VESTIBULE. THE ADD ALTERNATE WOULD INCREASE THE CLASSROOM ADDITION TO 8,860 SF WITH TWO ADDITIONAL CLASSROOMS Work includes site modifications with new sidewalks, hardscape, and stormwater management. A new four classroom, 6,188 SF addition includes a slab-on-grade, bearing masonry walls and steel framed roof with a roof mounted air handling unit and unit ventilators in each classroom. A new corridor will connect the existing building to the new classrooms. Modifications to the main building entrance to create a secure entrance vestibule. Work includes architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire protection disciplines. The GC shall provide for maintaining egress from the existing school while the building is occupied. New sidewalks (including a ramp) and hardscape will be installed adjacent to the new addition. A construction barrier must be in place to protect school occupants from construction activities during times of occupancy. A temporary egress door with sidewalks will be required for egress purposes during construction. A new fire lane will be installed in order to access the new addition. The fire lane will tie into the existing parking lot and will terminate close to the new addition. Project estimated to begin late winter, early spring of 2022.
