CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 12/14/2021 4:00 PM The Project includes the following Work: Furnish and install permanent, packaged diesel engine generators at four (4) existing public water supply booster pump station locations. Work to include all associated electrical construction, site work, foundations, and restoration. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid Due Date. Project Overviews: Installation of four (4) permanent packed diesel engine generators. o Installation of generators will be at four separate locations including: Deemston, Denbeau, Ridgewood, and Vestaburg Booster Pumping Station (BPS). o Public water is supplied from each BPS location. o Installation of associated electrical construction as shown on IFB drawing set dated 11/03/2021. o Installation of electrical conduits from BPS to generators at each location. o Installation of concrete generator pads at each location. o Addition of gravel around each generator pad. o Site restoration.
