Site work and addition to an educational facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for the addition of a 25,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The University of Manitoba, Richardson Centre for functional foods and nutraceuticals, addition and renovation project includes addition of single storey dairy pilot plant comprising a GFA (gross floor area) of 1,388m2 and renovation to the south wing of the existing Richardson Centre comprising a GFA of 810m2 to house the clinical suite and FISEL. The Addition building will be constructed on a pre-cast hex piles and concrete beam foundation, concrete slab and structural steel framed structure. Exterior cladding consists of aluminum curtain wall, aluminum composite panel and louver screen. The roofing system is 2 ply modified bituminous roofing. Interior finishes are typical of this kind of facility with standard mechanical and electrical services. The Renovation includes demolition, new exterior curtain wall, overhead glass doors, partitions, doors, finishes, fittings & fixtures and modification of mechanical and electrical services. This project also includes appropriate site services with a site development area of 6,950 m2. TIMELINE: Project has been placed on hold. Contact at the architect will not be released while project is on hold. Further update may be available late spring 2023.
