Install approximately 525 LF of 8" HDPE, SDR11, water main via horizontal directional drill and approximately 85 LF of 6" PVC C900, DR 18, water main via open cut, including all associated fittings & appurtenances required to connect the new water main to the existing main. Install approximately 500 LF of 4" HDPE, SDR11, force main via horizontal direction drill and approximately 260 LF of 4" PVC, C900, DR 18, force main via open cut, including all associated fittings & appurtenances required to connect the new force main to the existing main. Install approximately 450 LF of two (2) 6" HDPE, SDR13.5, electric conduits & one (1) 4" HDPE, SDR13.5, communications conduit via horizontal direction drill. This scope of work is to replace & relocate all utilities attached to the existing 5th Street Bridge because FDOT will be demolishing and rebuilding the bridge. Question End Date 12/14/2021 2:30 PM Anticipated Award Date 1/28/2022 The Work to be done under this Contract consists of replacing the utility pipelines along the 5th Street Bridge near South Riverside Drive in New Smyrna Beach. These pipelines consist of a watermain, forcemain, cable and electrical conduits. The existing pipelines are currently installed along the bridge. New pipelines are to be directionally drilled underneath the waterway and connected at the locations shown on plans. At a later date the bridge contractor will be responsible for the removal of the existing/replaced pipelines along the bridge. 1. Approximately 402 feet from start to end of a bundled conduit consisting of three HDPE SDR-11 pipelines. Two of the conduits will be 6 inches in diameter while the other is to be a 4 inches. The three pipelines are to be pulled through the bore hole at the same time. 2. Approximately 530 feet of 8-inch HDPE DR-11 potable water main pipe installed by directional drill and tied into the existing watermain; 3. Approximately 310 feet of 4-inch PVC DR-11 force main pipe installed by directional drill. Connection will be connected to the existing manhole on the west side of the bridge and tied in to the existing force main on the east; 4. Installation of appurtenances including plug valves, gate valves, air release valves and check valve. 5. Installation of a new Fire Hydrant Assembly, three potable water connections, and one sewer forcemain connection. 6. FDEP approved testing and permit closeout for operational service of the new water main installed. 7. Project closeout measures such as sodding, cleanup, record drawings, substantial walkthrough and completion of all punch out list items. Protection of finished and unfinished Work. 5. Repair and restoration of Work damaged during construction. 6. Furnishing as necessary proper equipment and machinery, of a sufficient capacity, to facilitate the Work and to handle all emergencies normally encountered in Work of this character.
