Intends to contract for Professional Engineering Services related to the design of the Tam OShanter Park Roadway Improvements off Hills and Dales Road NW in Jackson Township This project includes the design for the reorientation of the existing park drive that runs E/W of the clubhouse and the design for the reconstruction (expansion and reduction) of three parking lots near the existing entrance of the park. The project site is located at Tam O'Shanter Park at 5055 Hills and Dales Road NW, Canton, OH. As required by the Ohio Revised Code, Section 153.67-51, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the Stark County Park District will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly ranked firm. 1. Park Drive - East: Redevelop the existing entrance on Hills and Dales Road NW and extend the park drive westward to Parking Lot C where a turn-around will be integrated into the parking lot design. The proposed two-way park drive will be approximately 1,000 LF in total length with approximately 600 LF of the drive realigned; 2. Clubhouse Parking Lot (A): Redevelop and expand the two-bay parking lot located southeast of the existing clubhouse (approximately 80-car with drop-off area and 150 LF of two-way drive); 3. Trailhead Parking Lot (B): Redevelop and reduce the two-bay parking lot located south of the clubhouse (approximately 120-car and 50 LF of two-way drive); 4. Parking Lot (C): Redevelop the single-bay parking lot located adjacent to an existing shelter and north of the proposed Great Lawn (approximately 10-car and 50 LF of two-way drive). Note that this parking area must provide an opportunity for vehicles to turn around as this will be the end of the park drive until the next phase of work is constructed. Additional trail improvement design will include a combination of paved, crushed limestone, boardwalk, and mowed trails, totaling approximately 6,000LF. Shortlist Confirmed.
