**As of February 3, 2022 the project has not been awarded yet.** The Project consists of two pipeline replacement segments. The scopes are described below:The Oat Hill Pump Station Discharge Pipeline Replacement project generally consists of the installation of approximately 2,100 linear feet of 12-inch diameter buried polyvinyl chloride (PVC) potable waterline including valves, water services, appurtenances and the abandonment of existing 12-inch diameter buried concrete mortar lined and coated steel potable waterline, water services and appurtenances, all located within agricultural graded roadsnorth of Oat Hill Pump Station to Faircrest Way (Private Road).The Alps Way Pipeline Replacement project generally consists of abandonment of approximately 270 linear feet of existing 16-inch diameter buried concrete mortar lined and coated steel potablewaterline and installation with 16-inch diameter buried polyvinyl chloride (PVC) potable waterline including valves, water service, fire hydrant and the abandonment of an existing water service. All work is locatedwithin Cougar Pass Road/Alps Way, an existing developed County of San Diego public right of way. All work in the contract shall be completed within NINETY (90)calendar daysof the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price.Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the Contract Documents, the Non-Collusion Declaration, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.The successful bidder will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: A-General Engineering or C-34, PipelineAward of Contract: The District shall award the Contract for the Project to the lowest responsible bidder as determined from the base bid alone by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.For further information, contact the District Engineering Department at (760)735-4500or Engineering_Projects@vcmwd.org. The District is scheduling two meetings to accommodate potential conflicts in schedules that may arise with a single Pre-Bid Conference. Each and every Bidder MUST attend a Pre-Bid Conference. Prospective bidders MAY NOT visit the Project Sites without making arrangements through the Project Manager. Bids WILL NOT be accepted from any bidder who did not attend a Pre-Bid Conference.
