The purpose of this RFP is to solicit competitive proposals from qualified firms for a Construction Manager (at risk)/General Contractor (CM/GC). Firms must be licensed and certified as applicable in the State of Utah, to construct additions to the Cedar Middle School and additions and remodel to Canyon View Middle School, and remodel to Cedar High School Science Wing per design from Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects. The CM/GC will work closely with the Iron County School District's Director of Facilities and Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects, through the design phase, providing cost estimates, schedules and feedback of design details, phasing, and availability of materials selected. CM/GC will also monitor the bid climate and recommend the optimal bidding schedule to the design team. Iron County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any formality, informality, irregularity or technicality in any proposal. The District also reserves the right to call for new bids if their interests or convenience is better served by such course. If any portion of the above terms are not acceptable it is the bidder's responsibility to so state in writing. Any and all bids are subject to the approval of the school district business administrator and the board of education. Q & A deadline: Dec 07, 2021 5:00 PM MT Project Scope The Iron County School District intends to add a "Performing Arts", as well as, "General Classroom" additions to both Cedar Middle School and Canyon View Middle School. The approximate square footage of these new additions is approximately (30,000 ft2) to Cedar Middle School and (20,000 ft2) to Canyon View Middle School.There will also be approximately (7,500 ft2) of remodel to the "Science Wing" of Canyon View Middle School. The "Science Wing" of CHS is approximately (13,000 ft2) of remodel. It is anticipated that the projects will begin construction approximately March 2022 with anticipated occupancy of all projects no later than December 2023.
