The Thomas Jefferson Elementary School RoofRecovering and HVAC System Replacement project generally consists ofthe demolition and replacement ofthe existing HVAC systems and roofing for the building(s). The project also includes limited electrical upgrades as necessary to accommodate the new mechanical equipment. The mechanical upgrades include the replacement of approximately 100 water source heat pumps and ventilation air-to-air heat exchangers, new heating water boilers and pumps, new cooling tower and condensing water pumps, new water source heat pump distribution pumps, new domestic hot water heater and storage tanks and new connections to an existing BAS system. The roofing replacement includes the removal and disposal of existing ballast stone, demolition of existing roofmembrane and associated edge metal, selective demolition and replacement ofwet/damaged insulation, installation ofnew recovery board, installation ofnew adhered single ply roofmembrane and associated edge metal. Bidders must be licensed as contractors in the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia as amended; and meet requirements of Title 2.2, Chapter 43, Paragraph 2.2-4311, Employment Discrimination Prohibitions and Paragraph 2.2-4312, Drug Free Workplace.
