Renovation of a mixed-use development in Salem, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum; and parking garage.

General Bidders are to be DCAMM certified in Waterproofing. The Waterproofing Contractor shall be the General Contractor. The Base Bid project scope consists of parking garage repairs at the upper level of parking, including the ramp from the 3rd level to the upper parking level and partial areas of the 3rd parking level. Also included are ADA elevator curbing ramp improvements on the 2nd and 3rd parking levels. Lastly, the project includes the installation of security cameras, and related work throughout the garage. The general scope of the construction work is briefly described as follows: 1. Preparation of the concrete deck, including cleaning and shot-blasting the surfaces to remove traffic coating within the contract area; 2. Remove steel plates and repair all cracks, spalls and deteriorated concrete at topside of concrete slab with approved repair materials; 3. Replace horizontal deck expansion joints between structural slabs where existing or formally existing; 4. Replace all sealant control joints between precast tees with sealant and backer rod; 5. Install deck to wall expansion joints at the perimeter of the stair and elevator towers; 6. Install new heavy duty waterproof traffic coating to slabs at areas shown on plan; 7. Complete all traffic & parking striping and install parking bumpers; 8. Install new built up curb cut ramp at 2nd, 3rd parking levels per 521 CMR architectural board requirements; 9. Install ramp with railing at upper floor level per 521 CMR architectural board requirements; 10. Install a security camera system, including all associated work, throughout all levels of the garage. (FILED SUB-BID) The Alternate No. 1 Bid project scope consists of parking, pedestrian and ADA ramp improvements outside the parking garage office located on New Liberty Street. The general scope of the construction work is briefly described as follows: 1. Remove existing stripping and arrows and install striping in areas indicated on plans. 2. Install three reflective carbon steel safety bollards. Bollards are to be a minimum of 36" in height and a minimum of 4.5" wide. The bollards are to be filled with concrete and embedded in a concrete pad per manufacturer requirements. 3. Install one bumper stop in area indicated on plans. 4. Modify curb cut ramp at two areas indicated on plan to meet 521 CMR architectural board requirements. Reference figure 21c of 521 CMR. Ramp to be a maximum of 1:12 slope and minimum of 36" wide with flared sides (a maximum of 1:10 slope). 5. Install signage at 3 locations indicated on plans. Signage must be securely mounted and meet all requirements in the manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (UTCD) including state amendments. The estimated construction cost of this Project is $1,500,000. Contractor Questions Due January 28, 2022 by 5:00 p.m.
