Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be performed consists, in general, of widening the east side of Calloway Drive between Lake Superior Drive and Norris Road. Existing traffic striping and pavement markings shall be modified on the east side of the roadway, from Galleria Way to approximately 440 feet north of Norris Road. The street widening includes, removal of existing concrete curbs, stumps, old-topped utility pole; removing existing trees and shrubs; modifying existing traffic signal and lighting system on the southeast corner of Calloway Drive and Norris Road; modifying existing landscaping and landscape irrigation systems; modifying existing fencing; resetting mailboxes; sawcutting and removing existing hot mix asphalt; roadway excavation; clearing and grubbing; relocating existing roadside signs; constructing type "B" curb and gutter; constructing drive approaches and tie-ins; installing sidewalk and ADA Case A curb ramp; constructing type "A" hot mix asphalt pavement; modifying vehicle detection loops. Liquidated Damages $1,000 per day Project Duration 35 working days License Requirements Class A The Contractor shall diligently prosecute the work to completion before the expiration of 35 working days.
