As of June 14, 2024, a construction manager at risk has been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, it is anticipated sub-trade bidding will commence June 2024, with construction starting in Quarter 1, 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: As provided for under General Statue section 143-128.1, the City of Concord has elected to use construction management at risk as the project delivery method for the new fleet services facility. The City has selected C Design for the design of the project. The size of the building will be approximately 44,000 square feet. The site is located at 605 Alfred Brown Jr Ct SW. It is anticipated that construction will be complete by December 2023. The scope of work is to provide construction management services for the project throughout preconstruction and construction phases, including but not limited to, preparation and coordination ofbid packages, scheduling, cost control, value engineering, evaluation, preconstruction services, and construction administration. The City of Concord will negotiate a contract with the top rated firm following selection. If a contract cannot be successfully negotiated with the top rated firm, the City will proceed to the second rated firm. Firms not selected for interviews will be notified.
