Renovation of a laboratory facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

The purpose of this Solicitation is to request quotes for the upgrade of flooring at JEA's Springfield Water Lab located at 1002 N Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Remove existing vinyl flooring in sections starting with all of the white hallways followed by Rooms 115,116,117,128,130,131, 137, 138, 139 and 140. This includes flooring, curbing 4" up walls with top trim to maintain sealed flooring throughout the first floor laboratory areas and hallways. Replace damaged sub flooring as required. Rm 131 has been noted having subfloor damage. Plastic Isolation/Dust curtains need to be installed between work spaces and operating Labs where door can not be used for isolation. Rooms to be completed will depend on the bids provided by vendors. Armstrong Medintone Commercial Vinyl Sheet Flooring will be installed to match existing flooring colors or as selected by JEA Staff. The intent is to limit to white and grey colors for flooring (shades to be determined) unless variance is requested. If a variance is requested any modifications to flooring will be selected by Lab Managers. All materials, including adhesives, and any floor coatings or sealants will have to be approved by Lab due to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) interference with testing and operations. Lab will be responsible to cover and protect sensitive equipment. Mechanical Rooms will be handled by Laboratory Staff or Facilities O&M as applicable. All Items on floor that can be moved shall be relocated by JEA Laboratory Staff. Rooms will be done to limit interruptions of Lab processes. Room numbers 130,137,138,139 and140 will be done between 3:00 PM and 4:00 AM. Schedule of area shut downs will be coordinated between JEA Lab Staff, Project Manager and Contractor. All variances will need to be approved by Laboratory Management. Start Date of project is 1/31/2022.
