Certified Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in the solicitation process. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 7, seeks the complete services of a qualified Vendor for replacement of the existing dry chemical agent fire suppression system located in the Office of Information Technology (OIT)server/phone switch room of its headquarters building. District 7 headquarters building is located at 11201 North McKinley Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612.The Vendor shall provide a turnkey solution that meets the following requirements: Install a FM200 dry chemical fire suppression system for complete fire protection of the following rooms: Work Location: OIT Suite B400 1. OIT Setup Room-B411. 2. OIT Server Room-B412. 3. OIT Room-B413 The Vendor shall provide and install all necessary components for the replacement, modifications and pressure testing of new piping, fittings and all assemblies associated with the installation, to include but not limited to the following: 1. The major components of the system shall be United Laboratories (UL) listed and Factory Mutual (FM) approved. 2. Sufficient agent cylinders to contain the required amount of extinguishing agent. 3. Suitable safeguards shall be provided to ensure prompt evacuation and prevent entry into hazardous atmospheres. Safety signage, evacuation plans, discharge alarms, training, supervised system lockout valves, pneumatic pre-discharge alarms, pneumatic time delays and warning signs. 4. Adequate mounting brackets for the cylinder(s). 5. Necessary piping, fittings, nozzles, clips and supports. 6. Electric control heads to activate the cylinders. 7. A recessed electrical panel to monitor system status and provide required functions. 8. Battery and charger rated for 24-hour standby plus five minutes of alarm power. 9. Means of manual activation using a pull station. 10. Means of automatic activation using (smoke and/or heat) detectors. 11. A manual means to temporarily abort the system shall be provided. 12. The system shall provide audible appliances/devices to indicate detector activation. . 13. Relay contacts shall be provided within the control panel for the following: damper controls and any equipment shutdowns. . 14. Vendor is responsible for requesting any testing through the State Fire Marshal office before, during and after installation of system and ensure that the provided system passes all inspections. 15. All electrical services and materials shall be provided by the Vendor to include but not limited to: a. 120 Volts power to FM200 control panel. b. Interlock wiring and conduit for shutdown of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), dampers and/or electric power supplies, relays, or shunt trip breakers. c. Connection to local/remote fire alarm system, listed central alarm station(s). d. The newly installed equipment shall meet all National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes, state, local codes, and manufacturer's requirements.
