As of January 7, 2022. The project has been awarded with the amount of $1,086,713.47. The work consists of furnishing all material, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary for construction of approx 4,700 LF water main. The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary for construction of approx. 4,700 LF of 16-inch DIP water main, 60 LF of 10-inch DIP water main, 60 LF of 8-inch DIP water main, 80 LF of 6-inch DIP water main, 235 LF of 24-inch steel casing (open cut and bored), 5 fire hydrants, two minor creek crossings; all with related, flushing, hydrostatic testing, and disinfection, traffic control, clearing, erosion control, grassing, restoration, pavement replacement, and clean-up. The Owner's Bid Reference No. 21-55-09 must be shown on the outside of bid envelopes. All Work must conform to the requirements of the Georgia EPD General Permit GAR 100002. The Project will be funded by federal funds provided under the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA). Payment for the Work will be made on the basis of Contractor's periodic Applications-for-Payment processed by the Engineer. In accordance with O.C.G.A. 43-41-1, Bidders must submit a photocopy of their Georgia Contractor License. Contractors and comply with all provisions of the "Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act" (O.C.G.A. 13-10-91 and O.C.G.A. 50-36-1). The Successful Bidder must certify compliance with all applicable state and federal laws regarding maintaining a drug-free workplace. The Successful Bidder will be required to certify compliance with federal Executive Order 11246 regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and other state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the ARPA funding. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, or other security authorized by law, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The right is reserved by the Owner to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the bids, during which time the bids shall remain open and not subject to withdrawal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all technicalities or informalities. If an award is made, the award will be made to the responsible, qualified Bidder providing the lowest, responsive Total Bid.
