Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sonora, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project consists of: Construct concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps, brick bands, driveways, brick planters, asphalt paving, along with associated amenities. Located at the intersection of Elkin Street, Snell Street and North Washington Street/SR 49. Each bid is to be in strict accordance with the Project Plans and Specifications (hereinafter called the "Proposal Requirements") on file at the City Administration Office, 94 North Washington Street, Sonora, California. Please note that sonora Blueprint's offices will be closed Monday November 22nd through Friday November 26th and Tuesday December 7th through Friday December 10th, so please plan accordingly. No bid will be considered unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to the City of Sonora for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, such guarantee to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to furnish the required bonds and enter into a contract with the City within the time provided by the Proposal Requirements. Planholders for the project should register their contact information with the Project Manager by email (preferably), or in writing by mail. The Project Manager will maintain a planholders' list and will distribute any project addendum by email to the planholders or other parties who have made the request. All project addenda and answers to questions received shall be posted to the City's website and listed under the project name. It is the Bidders responsibility to obtain all project addenda during the preparation of their bid. If an addendum has been issued by the City and not noted on the Bidder's Bid Form as being received by the Bidder, then the Bid may be rejected. Washington Street, Sonora, CA 95370 rkellogg@sonoraca.com 209-532-3508 The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. The successful bidder, before contract award, shall possess the required Contractor's license issued by the State of California Licensing Board. Failure of the bidder to obtain the required license before award of the contract shall constitute a failure to execute the contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the security of bidder. The successful bidder will be required to attend the mandatory preconstruction meeting. This project is funded under a State of California Active Transportation Grant through website. There is no federal funding in the project. This project is a "public works" project under Section 1720 of California Labor Code and the provisions of Section 1720 through 1861 of the California Labor Code shall apply. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). All contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on this project must be currently registered with the DIR under Section 1725.5 of the California Labor Code, and will be required to furnish electronic certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner (aka Division of Labor Standards Enforcement) as required by the Labor Commissioner under Section 1776 of the California Labor Code. In accordance with the provisions of Sections 1770 to 1780 of the Labor Code, the Director of Industrial Relations, State of California, has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which the work is required to be performed for each type of worker or mechanic required to execute the contract. Copies of the prevailing wage rate of per diem wages are on file at the Administration Office. The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and any subcontractor under it, shall pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to all workers in execution of the contract. The particular attention of bidders is directed to the provisions of Section Ill, Subsection 15 (Fair Employment Practices) of the Proposal Requirements which concerns affirmative action requirements. The City Council or City Staff will not be responsible for any error or omission on the part of the bidder in making the proposal. The City of Sonora reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in the bidding. Proposals/Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days from the opening thereof.
