Counties: Turnpike Road Name: Power System Hardening for Its Infrastructure - Other Its Limits: Midpoint Project(s): 44497815201(*) Federal Aid No: N/A Total Roadway Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Days: 451 Total Bridge Length: 0.000 Miles Total Proposal Length: 0.000 Miles Contract Execution Days: 10 Special Start Date: N/A Aquis/Flexible Start Time: 120 Work consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary for providing back-up power to the twentythree (23) ITS Power Distribution Subsystems (PDSs) District-wide including along Homestead Extension of Floridas Turnpike (HEFT) (SR 821) from MP 1.274 to MP 1.411 in Miami Dade County, Floridas Turnpike (SR 91) from MP 73.708 to MP 308.544 in Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie, Okeechobee, Osceola, Orange, Sumter Counties and Seminole Expressway (SR 417) from MP 44.563 to MP 48.476 in Seminole County to feed Dynamic Message Signs (DMSs) and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras that are key assets to the FTEs emergency evacuation route. The back-up power includes diesel fuel generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs) at or near each commercial power supply location to substitute the conventional power during outages for a minimum of 72 hours without refueling. The backup generators shall communicate with TMCs through the Ethernet IP network. No Pre-Bid Conference. Contractor must be prequalified in Electrical Work. The summary of pay items for this project is listed in the Plans For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
