Renovation of a municipal facility in North Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 21,118-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.

The proposed improvement includes but is not limited to the following Work at the City of North Chicago Municipal Building: Roof selective demolition and repairs, roof drain repairs, fluid-applied roof membrane and flashings over the existing roof membrane and flashing system, removing 12 existing unit skylights, furnishing and installing 12 new unit skylights, and all other work and materials required as per the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall schedule/coordinate his work with other subcontractors and the City of North Chicago staff. The Contractor must schedule/coordinate his work with continuous use of the Municipal Building by the City of North Chicago staff and the public. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in part by funds from Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). The procurement will be subject to regulations contained in the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 276a through 276a-5) as defined by the United States Department of Labor, and the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570). Bidders are also required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in 41 CFR 60-4. This procurement is subject to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" requirements as contained in Section 436 (a) - (f) of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014 This contract includes a specific DBE/MBE/WBE utilization goals established by DCEO. MBE/DBE companies are required to perform 25% of the work - and 10% of the work shall be performed by WBE companies. Addenda will be issued only to plan holders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond on forms provided in the Specifications and Contract Documents, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price. The City of North Chicago, in accordance with the Laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that the City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive minor informalities or technicalities, to advertise for new bids, or to request confirmation or clarification from any bidder regarding information contained in a bid. The City will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to a responsible and responsive Bidder without discrimination on the ground of race, color or national origin, but the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids received and to waive formalities.
