Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Newark, New Jersey. Design plans call for the construction of a six-story above grade, 90-unit multi-residential development; 2,400-square-foot retail development; 4,000-square-foot museum; and 12-story above grade, 160-unit multi-residential development.
Plans call for a two-phased mixed-use development to include an additional 4,000 square-foot art and program gallery for the Museum, new outdoor amenities, a more visible sculpture garden, renovations for the education wing, and 250 residential units, along with retail and dining space. The first building will be six stories and will include a new gallery for the Museum and include 90 apartment units. The second building will be 12 stories and will include 160 additional apartment units and 2,400 square feet of retail space. As of January 18, 2022, the project is in design. An architect has been selected. Information regarding the selection of a general contractor has not been disclosed.
