** This project has been awarded to Ladue Fencing inc in the amount of $29,477. ** The City of Olympia Public Works Department (City) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the provision and installation of no-cut, no-climb chain link mesh security fencing and to make minor repairs at the Citys Bush Water Tank Facility. Any questions regarding this Request for Proposals must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on March 2, 2022, via email to Mark Rains, Procurement and Records Specialist at mrains@ci.olympia.wa.us. Answers will be provided by addendum by 4:00 p.m. on March 4, 2022. Questions via telephone will not be accepted. All Contractors must respond to the entire scope of work defined in this Request for Bid. Responses that address less than the entire scope of work may be deemed non-responsive. Response to this Request for Bid does not commit the City to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the response, demonstrations, or any other activities related to this response. All responses and accompanying documentation become the property of the City and will not be returned. The City reserves the right to revise the request and/or to issue addenda. It is the intent of this Request for Bids to establish a Contract for fence and gate improvements, which includes the labor, materials, and equipment to install a no-cut, no-climb chain link mesh on the existing perimeter fence, and repair the barbed wire atop the fence at the City of Olympias Bush Tank facility located at 505 Birch Street NW. To help secure the tank and equipment at 505 Birch St NW, the City wishes to upgrade the existing fencing structure (See Exhibit 1 for photographs). Specifically, the City wishes to: Have a no-cut, no-climb 1-inch 9-gauge galvanized chain link mesh security fence installed from the base upwards to a height of eight (8) feet around the entirety of the exterior of the existing perimeter fencing. The existing fence measures approximately 415 linear feet. (See Figure A-1 in Exhibit 1 for a map). Remount one (1) detached V-Type barbed wire arm atop fence post (see Figure A-2 in Exhibit 1). Replace one (1) broken V-Type barbed wire arm (see Figure A-3 in Exhibit 1). Tighten existing barbed wire atop the perimeter fence. The existing barbed wire measures approximately 415 linear feet per strand. There are 6 strands of barbed wire.
