of commitment Bids must be accompanied by a bid security representing 10% of the total bid amount excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of an irrevocable letter of guarantee or bid bond issued by a financial institution that is a licensed insurer. issued in accordance with the Insurance Act (RSQ, c. A-32) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company holding a license issued under the Act respecting trust companies and companies (RSQ, c. S-29-01), a financial services cooperative referred to in the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (RSQ, c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (LC, 1991, c. 46), otherwise the bid will be automatically rejected.This tender guarantee will be valid for a period of 45 days from the date of opening of tenders. The TENDERER must attach to his Tender a letter of commitment signed by a surety guaranteeing the issuance of a performance guarantee and a guarantee of the CONTRACTOR's obligations for pledges, materials and services in accordance with the requirements provided for in the part 4.00 of the Contract. To do this, he must use the model letter of commitment reproduced in appendix 4.02 of the Tender Form. Only contractors holding the license required under the Building Act (RSQ, c. B-1.1) will be considered for the purposes of awarding the contract . The bidding contractors are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, their solvency and the content of their bids.
