Renovation of an educational facility in Wabasca, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade educational facility.
Bigstone Cree Nation (BCN) is requesting proposals for Construction services in accordance with the Contract Documents. The project is a high school located next to the existing Oski Pasikoniwew Kamik (Bigstone Community School) on IR 166A near Wabasca-Desmerais. The high school design reflects BCNEA's values and requirements for the new facility and includes feature spaces such as Central Gathering, Cree/Library, Elders, Multi-Purpose Room, Wrap Around spaces, flexible CTS spaces Break-Out spaces, a rooftop outdoor classroom and round outdoor classroom wrapped by a classroom wing with exterior wood features. The building will feature a tension membrane fabricated structure for the gymnasium and site upgrades. The Construction Association has been advised by the tendering authority that a Planholders list will not be maintained or available for this project. The Construction Association may list Planholders that have indicated their interest in this project but cannot provide any assurance that the list is complete and takes no responsibility for the accuracy of such lists.
