Questions applicable to the Project Specifications should be submitted via electronically no later than two days prior to the scheduled date of the pre-bid meeting. All requests for information (RFI) shall be received in writing via electronically no less than 14 calendar days before bid opening. The Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations of the Secretary of Labor implementing Executive Order 11246, as amended, shall be complied with on this project. The U.S. Department of Tra FederallyRegulations (CFR), Part 21 is applicable to this project. Bidders are hereby notified that the Department of Transportation will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex (as directed by 23 CFR Part 200). The State reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects in said proposals for the best interest of the public. COMPLETION TIME: TWELVE (12) MONTHS from the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed from the Department with the option to extend for two (2) additional twelve (12) month periods upon mutual agreement.
Scope of Work. The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, necessary equipment, materials and traffic control, to repair existing fencing and/or install new fencing at various locations on the Island of Oahu as requested. Fencing repair involves repairing of the posts, concrete footings, fencing fabric, and gates. Repair work also includes the complete removal, disposal, restoration of the area of damaged fencing material. New fencing work includes extending existing fencing, adding gates and installing new fencing. All fencing parts and debris shall be removed daily at all locations.
