Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Sikeston, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work necessary for fuel system improvements at the Sikeston Memorial Municipal Airport. 1. The work covered by this specification shall include the design, purchase, delivery, furnishing, and installation of one (1) 12,000 Gallon Avgas aboveground fuel storage tank and one (1) 12,000 Gallon Jet Fuel aboveground fuel storage tank, each with an associated fuel pumping system designed to pump fuel through the filter system from a transport truck into the storage tank, and pump from the storage tank through the filter directly into mobile refueler at a rate of approximately 200 GPM. This work shall include an associated Avgas dispensing system for dispensing into aircraft and fuel management and credit card reader system. The work shall include all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, shipping, tools, field measurements, verification of existing site conditions, permits, site work, concrete pad, foundations, anchorage, bollards (protection barriers), electrical work, grounding, shop drawings, operational and maintenance manuals, warranties, all technical assistance and Airport personnel training, coordination, utility coordination, labeling, testing, and all incidentals required to place the respective facilities into proper working order to the satisfaction of the Owner's Representative, in accordance with these specifications and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. 2. The manufacturer of the fuel storage and dispensing systems offered shall have been continuously engaged in the design and production of aviation fuel storage and dispensing systems for a period of not less than five (5) years. 3. The electric power available at the site will be 208/120 VAC, Three Phase, 4-wire. All electrical work will be considered incidental to the fuel facility and no additional compensation will be provided. Contract Work Items. This project will involve the following work complete construction and start-up of operable fuel systems and the bidding will be based on a single lump sum price. Contract Time. The owner has established a contract performance time of 250 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice-to-Proceed which will be given as soon as possible after the opening of bids. All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed in the project manual. Bid Security. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check on any bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to City of Sikeston, for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, or by a bid bond secured by an approved surety or sureties, payable to the owner, for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. Bonding Requirements. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of contract execution. Award of Contract. All proposals submitted in accordance with the instructions presented herein will be subject to evaluation. Bids may be held by the City of Sikeston for a period not to exceed 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of conducting the bid evaluation. Goals for minority participation for each trade: 26.5%. Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9%.
