Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Syracuse, New York. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of February 24, 2023, the Joint Venture team known as Salt City Constructors LLC (Lancaster, DA Collins, Cold Spring) were awarded the project in January 2023. However the project is in legal review due to an environmental challenge. A timeline for construction is not yet known. The I-81 Viaduct Project - Phase 1, Contract 1, is the first contract related to the conversion of the section of I81 between the southern I-81/I-481 interchange (Interchange 16A) and the northern I-81/I-481 interchange (Interchange 29) to Business Loop 81 (BL 81), and re-designation of the existing I-481 as I-81. The work envisioned for this project includes the following: o Improvements to the new section of I-81 (former I-481) between I-690 and New York State Thruway (I-90) including: o Construction of a third southbound (auxiliary) lane between Kirkville Road (Interchange 5 southbound on-ramp) and I-690 (Interchange 4 southbound off-ramp), including widening and rehabilitation of the existing bridge over the CSX railroad tracks o Construction of a third northbound (auxiliary) lane between I-690 (Interchange 4 northbound onramp) and Kirkville Road (Interchange 5 northbound off-ramp), including widening and rehabilitation of the bridge over the CSX railroad tracks o Construction of a third northbound (auxiliary) lane between Kirkville Road (Interchange 5 northbound on-ramp) and I-90 (Interchange 6 northbound off-ramp) o Reconstruction and widening of the new section of I-81 (former I-481) between Interchange 8 (Northern Boulevard) to Interchange 9 (existing I-81/I-481/NY Route 481 interchange) including: o Construction of a southbound auxiliary lane o Widening and rehabilitation of 3 existing bridges o Reconstruction of the existing I-81/I-481 northern interchange including: o Demolition of the existing ramp that connects northbound I-481 to northbound I-81 o Demolition of the existing ramp that connects southbound I-81 to southbound I-481 o Widen BL 81 (former I-81) northbound and southbound within the interchange area o Reconstruction of the existing loop ramp from BL 81 (former I-81) northbound to NY Route 481 northbound o Construction of a new 2 lane mainline roadway from existing I-81 southbound to new I-81 (former I-481) southbound o Construction of a new 2 lane mainline roadway from new I-81 (former I-481) northbound to I-81 northbound o Construction of five new bridges and replacement of one bridge NYDOT - RFQ D/B - Design-build Services for I-81 Viaduct Project - Phase 1, Contract 1
