The basin has an approximate total area of 760 m2. We also want to take the opportunity to redo the waterproofing of the roof basin covering part of room 302, with an approximate area of 7 m2. The current composition of the roof was made in 1993. These basins need to be resurfaced. Particular attention should be paid to the parapets. The width of the parapets must be reduced. 20% of the parapets of the main roof must be redone according to details 1 and 2 on page A-252. 80% of the parapets of the main roof must be redone according to details 9 and 10 on page A-252. The CONTRACTOR in charge of the roofing work must be a member of the AMCQ. The CONTRACTOR shall guarantee, for a period of FIVE (5) years that the structure will remain in place and free from any leakage defect. At the end of these FIVE (5) years, the CONTRACTOR must provide the additional Master plus 10 warranty for a period of FIVE (5) years from the Association des Maitres Couvreurs du Quebec. The CONTRACTOR must provide written and signed documents, issued in the name of the PUBLIC BODY for this purpose. The building will remain inhabited by the OWNER's employees for the duration of the work. Refer to the plans for the full scope of work. If the CONTRACTOR does not meet the final date provided for in the Schedule for acceptance with reservation of the Works, he must pay the PUBLIC BODY a penalty of TWO TENTHS OF ONE PERCENT (0.2%) of the value of the Contract per working day of delay, without prejudice to the right of the PUBLIC BODY to exercise any other right it may have.
