Renovation of a municipal facility in San Luis Obispo, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The California Conservation Corps (CCC) San Luis Obispo Center is looking for bids to re-roof five (5) buildings. They are building numbers 1524, 1529, 1533, 1534, 1546. The roofs are over 35 years old and have exceeded their intended service life. There have been numerous leaks over the recent years, especially on buildings with sky lights. This project will be an overlay of the existing composition shingle roof. Replacement of existing roofs with new, remove eight (8) sky lights, and return the building to its optimal usage. Please check the attachments for more details. Thanks 1. Overlay shingles on top of one (1) layer of existing roofing. 2. Install all new roof jacks. 3. Approximately 45 squares of Russet Red 30-year composition and dimensional ridge per building. 4. Remove and infill frame eight (8) total sky light openings (on buildings 1533 and 1534 only) and replace all rotted wood on eaves and fascia boards on each of the buildings. 5. Remove and replace gutters with new white colored 5" seamless rain gutter with two (2) downspouts per side. 24-gage metal with Kynar 500 finish. 6. There will be three (3) separate inspections required for this project performed by the CSLO. See below for inspection details. Inspection 1: After Demolition to inspect for termites. Inspection 2: After repairs to Fascia and or Eaves prior to roof installation. Inspection 3: Final acceptance by CSLO.
