The Project involves the milling and resurfacing of several designated street section within Butler, Indiana The bids shall be in a single prime, lump sum. A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) shall accompany each bid. Indiana State Gross Retail and Use Taxes are not to be included in the Bid Price, as the City of Butler is a tax exempt municipality. The provision shall apply both to transactions between the City of Butler and the Unified Contractor and any subcontractors, and to transactions between the materials suppliers to the Unified Contractor and any subcontractors . A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be required upon notification of the successful bidder prior to signing of the contract. Bids shall not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled, without the City's written consent, for a period of ninety (90) calendar days commencing from the day bids are received. The City reserves the right to waive any formalities and informalities or to reject any and all bids. A general scope / description of the Project is as follows:
a. A project to mill and resurface the following streets:
i. West Liberty Street, from the west terminus to the seam at 529 West Liberty.
ii. James Street, 300 and 400 blocks.
iii. John Street, 100 block.
iv. North Ash Street, 400 block.
v. All of North Park / South Park / Park.
b. The street improvements contemplated by this project are as described and illustrated in
"Attachment A - City of Butler, Indiana Street Improvements - 2022," which is referenced
herein and attached to this bid package as "Attachment A."
c. "Attachment A" is comprised of a spreadsheet, in Microsoft Excel format. Bidders are to input
the requested per unit prices into Page 2 of this spreadsheet, plus any mobilization costs (if not
included in the per unit prices). Inputting per unit prices will populate the balance of the
spreadsheet and provide cost estimates for each street / block section contemplated by this
project.
