The Scope of Work will include the removal and disposal of the asbestos-containing piping insulation materials, throughout the Ceiling Cavity; Removal of the Insulation from Roof Drain Piping, the Supply and Return Chilled Water Piping, the Hot Water Piping within the Ceiling Cavity; Removal of the non-asbestos Fireproofing and Cleaning the all surfaces of Debris Materials within the Work Area at each of the 24 locations. Sealing of open ends of piping insulation schedule to remain as it leaves the Work Area. Additionally, non-asbestos spray-applied fireproofing will be removed in the affected areas within the Cleaned Pathway and Perimeter wall; and the Transite Wall (where it exists), will be cut (8inch diameter and the opening temporarily closed) by this Contractor to allow for the installation of the new Roof Drain Insulated Piping (installed by others). The Contractor shall recycle materials when possible. Utilities are available within the building, however the Contractor is responsible for supplying necessary electrical power and water to the Work Areas to complete the Work; including assisting the Third Party Air Monitoring firm with power to do their Work.
