A timeline for the award is not yet determined.** The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the McBryde Hall Window Replacement Project by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Proposals are invited for the construction of a Window Replacement Project for McBryde Hall at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia. This project is generally described as select replacement, reglazing, and repair of exterior windows, window walls, and sealants necessary to correct long-term deterioration and leakage. The work also includes replacement of all exterior sealants not in contact with Hokie Stone masonry, the replacement of the metal soffit panels at the lecture hall entrance, cleaning all precast concrete panels, and applying a water repellant to all precast panels. Work to be performed under related project "Mcbryde Hall Facade Repairs" is depicted in these drawings for reference only. Work not included in this project is marked "N.I.C.: Bring a copy of this solicitation with you. Any changes resulting from this conference will be issued in a written addendum to this solicitation. No one will be admitted after 10:00AM. It is strongly recommended that you obtain a Virginia Tech parking permit for display on your vehicle prior to attending the conference. Work on punch windows to start May 16 th 2022. Substantial Completion shall be achieved by July 21, 2022 as determined by the A/E and Final Completion shall be achieved no later than August 5, 2022.
