The Village of Niles is accepting bid proposals for the: FOUR FLAGGS TANK REHAB, PAINTING AND TOWER FACILITIES LIGHTNING PROTECTION AND ORIOLE TOWER LIGHTNING PROTECTION Specifications, general Information and proposal forms are available at website. MUST COMPLY WITH AMENDED ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE ACT, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. MUST COMPLY WITH EMPLOYMENT OF ILLINOIS WORKERS ON PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 30 ILCS 570/0.01 et seq. Contract will be awarded at the Village of Niles Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible firm, or in any way restrain, or restrict competition. Four Flaggs Water Tower: The Work shall consist of painting and rehabilitation of the standpipe including full blast of the interior wet portion of the standpipe and the interior dry areas of the dry pilasters, painting these areas, scarifying and overcoating the exterior wet portion of the standpipe, removal of the existing 4'-0" of the pilasters that have rusted and replacing those sections of the pilasters with new painted steel, installation of new cathodic protection system, water destratification system, grounding system, SCADA modifications, valving and piping modifications, and furnishing all the materials, labor, equipment and incidentals required for the work, and all other incidental work necessary to complete this improvements in the Village of Niles. Oriole Water Tank: The Work consists of grounding system. All responsible and eligible firms are encouraged to submit proposals. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities or technicalities in any proposal, and to accept the proposal which it deems to be in the best interests of the Village.
