***As of January 5, 2022, the project has been awarded for the amount of $1,577,395.05.*** Various Bridges in Glendale, Industry, Irwindale, Pasadena, Pomona, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, Baldwin Park, and County SD1 Partial-depth bridge deck removals and rapid setting concrete patches; application of bridge deck seal and polyester concrete overlays; expansion joint repairs; installation of striping and pavement markings; and the performance of other appurtenant work. Sealed bids will be accepted by Los Angeles County Public Works, Project Management Division III, for the preparation of bridge decks, including the removal of deck surfaces; treatment with liquid sealing agent and application of polyester concrete overlays; the replacement of joint seals and spall repairs; and the performance of other appurtenant work on twenty-five bridges in the Cities of Baldwin Park, Glendale, Industry, Irwindale, Pasadena, Pomona, Sierra Madre and South Pasadena, and the unincorporated communities of Avocado Heights and East Irwindale, under Project ID No. RDC0015916, Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program (BPMP) Group 10. The work shall be done in accordance with the Plans and Specifications on file and open for inspection at Public Works. The work is estimated to cost between $1,200,000 and $1,800,000 and shall be completed in 80 working days. The prime contractor shall possess a valid California Class A contractors license. Prebid questions regarding the Plans and Specifications shall be submitted via email only to: Ms. Claudia Sifuentes at csifuentes@pw.lacounty.gov. Prebid questions will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021. Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bond payable to County of Los Angeles in an amount equal to at least 10 percent of the bid to guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if it is so awarded. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this contract is 18 percent.
