Renovation of a retail development in Springfield, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 186,000-square-foot retail development.
PN - CDB-250-000-022 Renovate Building Phase 2 Location- 2501 Wabash Ave Springfield, IL 62704 AE Estimate Less than $55,000,000 All work will be awarded under a Single Prime construction contract. This project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement. Interior, facade and roof remodeling of existing Sears Mall, a space of approximately 186,000 sf connected to the White Oaks Mall. The space will be renovated to office spaces to accommodate around 650 employees of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, IL Pollution Control Board and the EPA Department of Innovation and Technology. The demolition scope of work includes the exterior facade, roof assembly and associated roof abatement work. The proposed work includes new interior partitions, millwork, finishes, accessories, doors, exterior walls, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, fire protection systems, structural framing and partial concrete slab, new elevators in existing shafts, existing stairs will remain, new roof system over existing metal substrate, addition of skylights and clerestories. Exterior site improvements include paving, landscape and underground utilities and parking lighting update. The construction activities under this contract will commence once the demolition activities are substantially complete. 18% MBE, 5% WBE, 2% VBE, 0% PBE.
