Purchase and Installation of Battery Electric Bus Charging Infrastructure The engineer's estimate for this project is $1,033,200 COTA Fields Ave CNG Renovation - 1333 Fields Ave Columbus OH, 43215-3076 the cota fields avenue renovation project will add fueling and storage of compressed natural gas (cng) buses, and add overnight charging and storage for 10 battery electric buses. this rennovation will remove diesel bus fueling. the primary components of the project are; 1) a new cng compressing plant (6600 sf exterior space w/ equipment to compress and store natural gas), 2) a new cng fueling station (3-fuel islands under a 4594 sf canopy, supported by a 1230 sf bldg.) 3) a new building addition containing a bus wash (9100 sf addition including facilities shop, bus wash, and mech. space) and 4) a new perimeter loop road to provide full and complete perimeter access for the columbus dept. of fire. to meet cng code there will be a major upgrade to the building's hvac systems, and the installation of a gas detection system. additionally, the roof membrane and insulation will be replaced and the high-bay lighting inside of the garage will be upgraded to led fixtures.
