Renovation of a residential development in Anson, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
HVAC- Remove gas furnace, gas plumbing, venting. Patch opening as required to match existing conditions. Remove existing ductwork, ceiling registers, register boxes and return air grilles. Modify mechanical enclosures as required Patch, paint and finish all interior areas effected to match existing. Install new heat pump systems, new thermostats, new return air filter grilles, new ceiling supply registers/register boxes and new ductwork PLUMBING- Remove existing gas water heater, venting and gas plumbing. Modify plumbing to accept new water heater. Install new electric water heater and overflow pan Remove existing gas range and gas plumbing. Install new electric range (to be provided by Owner). ELECTRICAL UPGRADE- Remove all breaker boxes, electric meters, meter boxes, conduits, weatherheads and down masts. Install new 150 amp (1,2 Bedroom) and 200 amp breaker (3 Bedroom), new meter boxes, new meters, new conduits, new weatherheads and new down masts. Route grounding as required by AEP. ELECTRICAL UPGRADE - DWELLING UNITS Route electric service to mechanical enclosures, water heater enclosures and electric ranges. Install new external disconnect for each heat pump system. Check exterior 120V service outlet for proper operation. If not GFI, replace. **Bidders must obtain their own set of documents from the owner or architect to be an eligible bidder.** The Housing Authority of the City of Anson, Texas (hereinafter referred to as the Housing Authority), will receive sealed bids for a single construction contract for the installation of new central electric heat pump systems, electric water heaters, electric ranges and electrical upgrades as required to convert to allelectric at 8 dwelling units (2 Bedroom Unit #s 1 - 4; 3 Bedroom Unit #s 13 - 16) in Site A Project 001. No Pre-Bid Conference will be held. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety (the Bid Bond shall be from a Company which is on the U. S. Treasury Department list, as an approved surety Company) in the amount of 5% of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay all satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds, workers compensation and vehicle liability. The bonds shall be from a Company which is on the U. S. Treasury Department list. Attention must be paid to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity as set forth in these documents. Attention is drawn to the fact that all wages and salaries must meet the minimum Davis Bacon requirements as set forth in the specifications. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days from the date of the bid opening without the consent of the Housing Authority. Proposed forms of contract documents, including drawings and specifications, are on file and available for inspection at the Office of the Housing Authority and at the Office of RKB2 Consultants (Designer), 1217 Canterbury Drive, Abilene, Texas 79602 (325) 673-9221.
