Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Cape Coral, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project involves the repair and resurfacing of the asphalt cart paths at the Coral Oaks Golf Course (1800 NW 28th Avenue). The existing cart path infrastructure was built in the late 1980s and early 1990s; and is in need of rehabilitation. This project will include the milling and resurfacing of the asphalt cart paths, along with some root repairs via full depth asphalt. The disturbed edges of the asphalt cart paths will be graded and dressed by the contractor, for eventual sod installation by the golf course maintenance staff. The current asphalt surface is rated as poor to fair. There will be 158,504 square feet of asphalt milling (1.25" deep) to be performed, 158,504 sq. ft of 1.25" Type S-III asphalt overlay, 18,843 square feet of new path excavation (5.25" deep), 18,843 square feet of new path paving (1.25" overlay of 4" of full depth asphalt, Type S-III), 8,144 square feet of permanent removal of the existing asphalt cart path, 4,991 square feet of root repairs (using 4" of full depth asphalt, Type S-III), and 252 square feet of where the existing cart path elevation will be raised 3". Due to the delicate nature of the golf fairways, it is uncertain whether select areas will be accessible with a fully loaded dump truck of asphalt. The contractor should make allowances to use smaller vehicular devices such as smaller trailers and pick up trucks, etc. which won't damage the fairways or bog down like some full size, fully loaded vehicles may. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals in whole or in part and to waive any irregularities or informalities when in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Cape Coral.
