Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Hanalei, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project is located at the Kalepa Agricultural Lands in Lihue on the island of Kauai, along the upper portion of the Wailua River in the vicinity of the Wailua Falls, in the central portion of the parcel. General Conditions - AG-008, latest revision shall be made part of the specifications. The scope of work includes the removal of the damaged concrete girder and partial bridge deck of the existing bridge, and the construction of a new concrete girder and partial bridge deck. A steel plate will be added to the new upstream girder to protect the concrete girder from future debris impact. To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering A license at the time of bidding. Any loss of or damage to ADC property caused by negligence of the Contractor or its employees, shall be replaced, repaired, and/or paid for by the Contractor. The contract will be for 180 calendar days from the official notice to proceed. The ADC reserves the option of extending this contract accordingly to complete the work. The estimated cost of the scope of work is $470,000.00. The award of the contract, if it be awarded, will be subject to the availability of funds.
