Westside Park Splash Pad Project The project is located at Westside Park in the City of Dorris and consists of design & construction of a new splash pad water feature for the Westside Park play area. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site(s) and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents and Specifications. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to its Bid. Bidder's Security shall be in the amount of 10% of the amount of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each in the Amount of 100% of the Contract Price, in the form and time set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the Contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment due by the Owner, by depositing securities of equal value with the Owner in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code 22300. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, shall be valued by an auditor retained by the Owner, whose decision on valuation of the securities shall be final. The City of Dorris, at the sole discretion of the City Council, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularity, except as forbidden by law, in any Bid received. The Contractor shall commence the work covered by this Contract within a period of twenty (20) calendar days after the date on which the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Owner and shall complete the same within a period of One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days after the date of said Notice unless the time for completion is extended as provided for in the Contract Documents.
