ORDINANCE NO. 2019-0-079 SEECO JOB NO. 12464G The proposed construction consists of a new lift station including grading, new access driveway, landscaping, approximately 600 lineal feet of 6 force main, 3200 lineal feet of 12 water main, 2000 lineal feet of 15 sanitary sewer, and other miscellaneous items of work. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be also funded in part by a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). The procurement will be subject to the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/), including the Illinois Works Apprenticeship Initiative, the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act (30 ILCS 575/), Section 3 under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, the Equal Opportunity and Fair Housing Accessibility Laws and the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) of the U.S. Clean Air Act, if applicable. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village of Tinley Park is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashiers check or bank draft payable to the Village of Tinley Park for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
